Physical Therapy

Therapy for the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function impaired or threatened by disease, injury, or disability that utilizes therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, assistive devices, and patient education and training. We define physical therapy as “helping you help you”!  Sessions are one-on-one with the therapist and usually last 60 minutes.

What to expect during your PT visit:

  • A complete evaluation of your injury or painful region and ‘whole body’ assessment of dysfunction is completed at the initial visit.

  • Your care will be initiated with education on your injury/diagnosis, description of your plan of care and initiation of manual treatments, therapeutic exercises, and a home exercise program.

  • Subsequent visits will follow the PT plan of care created at the Initial Evaluation.

  • Any unanswered questions from previous appointments will be addressed.

  • Each visit will include manual therapy, guided specific exercises, patient education and an update on your home exercise program.

  • Physical Therapy visits focus on your personal goals of recovery

“Not only is health a normal condition, but it is our duty to not only attain it but to maintain it.”
